Sick

I have been sick for about 2 weeks. I don't know what I have, but it stinks. I've missed two days of school this week, I'm trying it today but I already feel terrible. I HATE BEING SICK SO MUCH! Last time I felt this terrible was from some chemical poisoning at the Ice Skating rink.

IT WORKED!

Over the summer I had an idea. The recipe for italian sodas is super good! And while making ice one day, i thought what a good invention flavored ice would be! And today I tried it! I put some raspberry syrup in a plastic bag, in a cup then in the freezer. Once it was frozen I put it in a glass of club soda and once it melted, it tasted great. So surprised and HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9/11

Even though I was too young to remember September 11th, it's been a big part of my life. Because I can't remember a world before that, when 9/11 was just a normal date in the calendar. I'm just used to several moments of silence every year. This year it really sunk in, on the 10th anniversary. People really did know a different world, 9/11 was the first attack on the heart of our country. As my Mom put it, the first terrorist attack on our soil. Pearl Harbor was a tragic day, but people over in Main didn't really feel the same hurt as people in Hawaii. But 10 years ago, we all came together as a country, whatever disputes between us were set aside and we came together to support the families, and respect the people that sacrificed their lives to save others. And those who thought that September 11th 2001 would just be a normal workday, but found terror that normally they only saw in TV shows. At 9:11 AM and PM all through this week, I'd like all my readers to join me in a moment of silence, to respect the families, the rescuers and in general all the innocent people that died, in Pennsylvania, New York City and Washington D.C.,do this in remembrance of them.

Ugh

School's back in session and quite frankly, I don't want it to be. While I enjoy seeing my friends, I don't want to do classes. It seems like as soon as school started the night started coming earlier, and even though it's supposed to colder, it's rained alot more and is extra hot (like 100 degrees) during the day. It's torture.
Next week I start my busy season, i'm psyched about starting a day care job but it takes up a good part of my evening, which I could really use for Homework. And we're babysitting my cousin's dog, and I have another job taking care of my neighbor's house while they go to NYC. And a classmate of mine is going to disney world! I WANNA GO BACK! But at least I get to spend some time with my friends this weekend at Cliff's, then swimming right after, then a sleepover!
Happy Long Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T.G.I.F!!!!!!!!

Leroy vs. Wild life and the truck

Leroy in our recent trips to Pagosa has found a skunk and a porcupine and tried to chase a cow. Here are the stories.

Skunk: in the middle of the night Leroy was whining and we thought he had to go to the bathroom so we let him out to wander around for a while. Then my dad heard barking then sneezing and then whining. Im curled up on the couch and i hear my dad say oh no. And leroy had to spend the night out side on the deck. Then we tried everything to get the smell; mouth wash, lemon juice, taking him down to the lake. Lemon juice was what really helped. It has just stopped smelling now, almost 2 weeks later.

Porcupine: we dont know how the quills got in there but for getting them out we soaked the spot in vinegar then cut the quill with scissors then used pliers to get themm out. Poor leroy was terrified.

The Cow: we were driving in the forest yester day and I looked back and I didn't see leroy in the back of the truck. I just thought massive Barley was blocking him but then i saw on the side of the road running after us. Dad thinks he probably just wanted to go off and bark at a cow. But jumping out he got a nasty scrape under his arm.

Any way leroy obviously has some thrill issues, or just bad luck in wild life

Aloha Summer!!!

As of yesterday I am officialy on a well-deserved summer break! On monday I go to a party then I have special top secret plans for memorial day weekend that i'll have to write about afterwards. My cousins will come down in early July and I will be in a 4th of July parade because (of course) I rock.
Today I gave myself or tried to give myself high lights with a kit I got at Whole foods. Last weekend I tried Sun-In but it's hard to stay in the sun without getting wet so... that didn't really work and now I'm trying NatraTint. I really only wannna use natural stuff on my hair so this is made with all vegetable ingredients. I hope it works and right now i'm waitiing for it to dry so I guess you'll here about the results later.
Enjoy the new pole!!!!

Sock

I remember once putting little dog shoes on my Aunt's dog because she didn't like the snow. SHe ended up walking around the house with every foot lookin like a giant wind mill. My puppy, the one on the bottom of my last post, Has a bad hot spot- so we've been taping a sock to his foot to keep him from licking it. And I just can't help thinking of those shoes.

By the way Disney world was amazing! We only went to Magic and Animal Kingdom, and we din't see everything but we saw the highlights. Expedition Everest, the scariest and fastest one in Disney World, had a 40 minute wait but it was worth it. Before going to Magic Kingdom this guy we met at our hotel said they used to have a real yeti, but now it's just a shadow. I WISH THEY HAD HAD THE REAL ONE! But still it was fun. We saw like 50 parades at each of the places, especially Magic Kingdom. And of course I got pictures and princess souveniers for Sunny (read one of my previous posts), who is obsessed with Belle and Tiana- and all the others- but mostly these two. In Magic Kingdom we did Pirates of the Carribean, in Adventureland, which actually isn't scary- In Fronteirland we did Big Thung and Splash Mountain- both one of my favorites- and Tom Sawers Island as well as the Haunted Manshion. The wait for that was unbelievable! Then in Fantasy land we did It's a small world and In Tommorrow Land we did the race track, the Astro Orbiter and Space Mountain also Stich's great escape which I wouldn't reccomend (all you do is watch and get spit on). In animal Kingdom we didn't do the river rapids or the Safari, but we were still new to the Disney waits since we did Animal Kingdom right after we got off the plane. But we did do DYNOSAUR which- although it could give someone a stroke with flashing light and loud noises, and could potentially give you whiplash- was a fun ride. I honestly loved the hotel cause it had a heated pool and we had a view of the pool and downtown Disney. I can't wait to go back and do That over again as well as Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Of course we ended our day at Magic Kingdom with the Fireworks- and I also want to do Universal and see what that's like.

Anyway after that we went to Sanibel Island. It's a shelling Island off the coast of Florida on the West. The hotel had beach access- and the beach had access to literally hundres of shells- some with live things still in them. We had fun in the surf and we rented bikes to ride around. Most people on the Island go on bikes because there are bike paths on most every road. We had a kitchen in our room which was nice because we could cook and then eat dinner watchong NCIS or House- which are my new two favorite shows along with bones. Anyway we went to this one really great restaraunt on the first night called the Corner Grill- it had easy beach access and excellent food and atmosphere(I HIGHLY reccomend it). On the last day we rented Kyaks and went throught the mangroves to see wildlife in the JN DING DARLING WILDLIFE REFUGE, where we had gone biking the previous night. Unfortunately, during my whole trip to Florida, I only saw two baby Alligators, but I thougt I saw ones head while we were biking. So did my dad so we both stopped and then a few secong later we heard a big splash like something big was getting into the water. Also on the last day we went to Pinnochio's Ice Cream- it was really good. We found a dead crab, and a crab claw (which my dogs just chewed up because of crab meat), we got attacked by nasty little flies that swarm and bite the heck out of you and on the last night the tide was super low and we walked out to a sand bar and looked out a bunch of live things in shells, like conches, hermit crabs, clam like things oozing out of the shell. Then i picked up a shell, expecting a crab but insted this little leggy thing jumped and tried to attack my hand, so naturally I ran ,screaming, all the way back to the beach. And at one point, I had picked up this beautiful shell and my Dad put it in his pocket (this was shortly after we tried picking up one with our feet, but it was "spiky" and it hurt, then my Dad finally got it and we realized it had a crab on top of it) but back to the point, we found the shell in his pocket was still occupied- with a crab- we're just lucky it din't pinch him.
Over all it was a fun Spring Break!

Spring Break

During Spring Break, we are going two places, both in Florida! We are staying a few days in Disney World!(Let me know which rides) And we're going after that to Sanibel Island for a few days. Are there alot of alligators? Well, guess ill find out.

GLEEK!

Sorry, it's been a long time, but since my last post I have become a total GLEEK! I love it so much my Mom, my Sister and I are watching every episode ever created! It captivates you, unfortunately someone had to invent commercials. I love Brittany! For those of you who don't know, Brittany is a dumb-blond cheerleader who always shouts out wrong and hilarious answers, she also is a really good dancer (her and Mike Chang).
On a quiz it said that I was most like Quinn Febray (Dianna Agron) she's a bossy cheerleader but she's also really sweet. Since I don't have time, there are going to be several posts on GLEE! I love it too much!
