the chalk

So there is a spring festival at my school. It's five hours long! There will be a salsa making contest, the annual poetry slam, an ice cream social and a chalk drawing contest.


In the chalk drawing contest a family would reserve a square, and decorate the square. So I made my Mom let us do that. She agreed to let ME not my sister do the design, my sister doesn't know that. Anyway I decided that I would do the Sandia Mountains, over that a yucca surrounded by prickly pear cactus on the sides a Zia symbol on one side and on the other red and green chile peppers. In the background would be a New Mexican sunset. So I have high hopes that we will win!

so they came here

My cousin did NOT want us to leave so a week later they came here. I got pulled out of school early two days one we went to old town and the other we just hung out.

Leroy and Barley were the happiest to see them. Barley was always right by my Uncle's side. Leroy decided that it was time for a new passion: jumping up on furniture. His fav. furniture to jump up on was the counter. Most of the time there would be some type of food up there. So we had to bring on the punishing. Then while we were running from my sister just outside the back yard Leroy some how got out and made a run for the horse-riding academy just two blocks down from where we live. The three of us got all scraped up from runnng after him and bringing him back. In the middle of those two things, he almost got kicked by a very tall, very beatiful horse. He was jumping up on the stall, but the horse would snort and he'd jump a mile finally I got him after he ran across the street that the horse place was on. My cosin and I ran home while Ryen carried the unexpectedly heavy puppy home.
