The Blind Side; review

Today at 2:20 we went to Century Rio 24 to see the blind side. I thought it was gonna be one of those sad movies and I would be crying in the first five minutes. It was touching, but cute and funny. Sandra Bullock's roll a really strong character and she looks like my 4th grade favorite teacher of all time, Ms. Garcia who is like Sandra Bullock's character. It's a classic and really unique. I think I just found my new fav. movie after Up.

Only my sister isn't having dinner because she ate two large popcorns! ( they have free refills)

Wii the people. Or Mii the people.

For Christmas I got a Wii. On the Wii you can make characters for yourself. These are called Mii's. There is a whole Mii channel. I have a pony tail and a blue shirt on my Mii. Ooh my Mom and sister are playing tennis- it's a deuce. Anyway. I made a Mii of my fav. Uncle Dave. He has thinning hair on the top of his head, we're always throwing baldy jokes at him. So here's a big on to you Uncle Dave: I made a Mii that is completely bald except for a little bit of hair. Ya, it's you. So now you can thank me for doing that!

My family watches a little girl sometimes. Her name is Sunny. She is the sweetest little thing you've ever seen. Last night while we were watching her she was playing with play-doh and said to my sister after my sister said "Okay, let's put it away now" ( she'd been playing for about an hour and a half) and Sunny said " I put this away when I want to" then she twirls her head around to my sister as if she was making sure she got the message and said " OK bubba?" Then when she's focused on something and you ask her if she wants to do something else she sais" NNNNNNOOOOOOOO" as she tilts her head up. She's almost three.

Now as we await Christmas we all feel stress; oh i forgot this, no we just ran out of wrapping paper, oh it looks awful. Does it really matter? Many times it's been said, here i will say it again, it's the thought that counts. Sometimes, just like in the movies, in our busy lives with work and kids and activities of all sorts. I think we do forget what this holiday season is about. It's celebrating moments of achievement in different faiths/religions. So let's take a moment in our busy lives and be with people we love. And celebrate those moments of achievement then maybe we can achieve something ourselves. Humanity. Hey maybe it does exist!

joys of Christmas part 2: Treats

The treats are on my top 2 list of favorite things about Christmas. At my house we make a bunch of family recipes. Candied apples, peanut butter fudge, and this year we're gonna make chocolate luminarias!!!!!! Yum yum goood to eat!

Joys of Christmas part 1: storms

storms around Christmas is one of my many favorite parts. Sledding, snowball fights, hot cocoa while it's blizzarding outside. Oh and fresh fallen snow with beauty and glistening whiteness. Also knowing you're going to have a snow day gives you a sense of contentment. Then last but not least the delicacy of snowflakes as they drift downwards toward earth.

Homeyness

As much as I hate the shopping, i love the Christmas season. For all it's family time,
decorating, the food and the general warmth and homey feeling. The songs, and hey I could go on forever. At my house we put up REAL luminarias as well as lights and stuff. The snow out side and being nestled into a little house with a warm, cozy fire.

X-mas

I noticed x-mas sales at the begining of nov. Stores always go over the top w/ x-mas sales. Ateast we had no deaths or injurys this year. But they still go over the top.

Sleep

Last night I couldn't sleep. Today when I told someone, they said when they were a kid they went threw a phase were some nights they had to sleep on the floor. I definitely couldn't do that. NO WAY!!!!!

Leroy and Barley

I believe Leroy and barley are the cutest dogs in the world. Leroy has huge ears, dark brown eyes and tan fur. He's a blue healer - wire terrier. And his Back legs are longer then his front so he is forced to sit like a mermaid. Barley has big soft brown eyes, is over blubbery and still has his puppy sit even tho he's 5. He has a big babyish face and is a wonderful black lab. I'm a dog person so I think every dog is cute. But the cutest are Leroy and Barley.


Especially when they're curled up!

I HATE [some] snowboarders

At wolf creek snowboarders need to be more aware. I myself prefer skiing. Yesterday as I was skiing @ wolf creek and one almost hit me!!!!! Then my Mom saw one w/ an open bottle of beer!
Honestly they freak me out so much.We Aren't going skiing today.
I hope I didn't offend anyone that's a snow boarder. Especially my cousin...

Happy Thanks-giving

Thanks-giving. A time to give thanks. A time for being with family and being a family. My favorite part is the mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffing. No I lied my favorite part is simply the pumpkin pie. One piece won't do I have to have two or three. So this Thanks-giving be with your family, eat mashed potatoes, be thankful and have loads of pumpkin pie.

road trips

Road trips .Always fun and exciting (staring out the window). Always playing cards (watchin' a movie). Always wide a wake ("who's snoring back there?"). Then always there's wildlife. Cows, deer, horses, deer, calves, deer. Did I mention deer?

I love Colorado

Ah, Colorado, so wonderful. Smell of the pines, snow, hikes, horse-back riding. Taking dogs to the lake. Watching them swim, in the lake. Get wet after the dogs have gone swimming, IN THE LAKE. And the weather. Just plain COLD!!!!

Phrase Day

A phrase is a phrase. But what if the phrase happens to make no sense? Then i'd call it a lyric. Cause really in a lot of songs the words and "phrases" make no sense. So i'm declaring a holiday! 11/25/ is now make a lyric [ or make a nonsensical phrase] day!! I'm so excited I already made up mine!!! Do as you wish not as you please.

Have you ever wondered why there are computer games? I know i have. Maybe it's something to look into, maybe not. I know they're fun, but some are just plain HARD!!!!!!!!
In conclusion I don't like the hard ones!
